Donut wall stale?

Sandy, on December 19, 2021 at 6:53 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Hi everyone we will be having cake at our wedding as well as a churro bar later on for our guests. We also just booked someone to set up a small dessert table in order to give our guest more options. However, now I’m worried that table will look too empty and was thinking of diying a donut wall since we both love donuts. However I’m afraid the donuts will be stale after sitting out for a few hours. Has anyone experienced this at there wedding or have any tips? Donut wall stale? 1

Donuts are best served hot and fresh. Being on a wall for hours lends to them going stale and getting dry. Also there is a hygiene issue with them being set out like that isn’t present with cake or other desserts. It’s something that is great for Pinterest aesthetic but doesn’t translate well to real life.

If you're worried about the table looking bare, I'd add flowers or rose petals. I don't think a donut wall will help a table look less bare

Hey there!! I’ve only been to one wedding with a donut wall, and the donuts were definitely slightly stale. I went to another wedding where they had gourmet donuts instead of a cake and they had them all stacked beautifully in a more stacked display and they didn’t taste as stale.
