Donut bar

Love this idea and we just spoke about this last night. FH loves the idea but also thinks no one will eat them since we also have cake. Our theme is brunch for dinner so our cake looks like a stack of pancakes. Following this one to see thoughts as well.

I agree. How many donuts were you thinking? One for each? We are having about 50 people so I was thinking maybe 30 donuts so that we do not waste them. How were you going to display them? So many decisions! Lol!

I love the idea too. We love donuts and have a delicious bakery that I would like to get them from. I’m just afraid they’ll be stale-ish by the evening. Donuts don’t seem to keep as well as other desserts, but maybe it’s nothing to worry about.

My husband and I had donuts instead of a cake and the donuts went so fast! Everyone was raving about the donuts we got at our favorite mom and pop donut shop.

View Quoted Comment Some people will take more than one donut. We ordered 120 donuts and had about 80 something guests. All the donuts were gone and we probably could have gotten more. But if you have a cake with enough slices for each person, less donuts will be okay.

I think that's a pretty neat idea!! i'd love it if I went to a wedding that had that. I'm considering mini apple pies because of having the wedding in the fall, and here in MI it's big time Apple Orchard season

We’re having a donut display in addition to our cake and Venetian table! I think people will love it and it’s an additional dessert option for your guests!

We are doing a donut bar. We are not doing a brunch theme but instead of buying a giant cake and donuts, we are buying 2 donuts per guest and then my mom is making a small cake just to put a topper on and to cut.

I think for a brunch wedding it's awesome! I would eat one. Is it your only dessert?
