Don't know what to write on a handkerchief for my father

Catalina, on November 3, 2014 at 3:57 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

I will be giving my father an embroidered handkerchief as a gift on my wedding day and need help with what I should write. Back story on the handkerchief: My father was 10 years older than my aunt (his sister), their father passed away when my dad was 15 and my aunt 4. When my grandfather passed away my dad became very much like a father to my aunt even gave her away on her wedding day. A couple of years ago my aunt passed away suddenly and my father was devastated, I have the handkerchief she used on her wedding day, I will also use it on my day then will give it to my father as a gift. I would love to hear any ideas you may have about what I should write. Thanks in advance.

Wow, that's very touching and honestly nothing I could come up with would be "good enough" for such a keepsake. Maybe something as simple as the date and a nice letter to your father?

Both your dates and "love, your favorite girls!"
