Not at all!! My whole wedding us DIY except for the gown and wedding party clothing but even the bouquet, buttonieres, dinner and lace are hand made. We don't have much budget, and overall we've gone with a total of $4,000 and that's including the $2,000 on the honeymoon so we actually knew how to stay on budget. It doesn't sound cheap at all!! Sounds to me like you just know on which things to save and want what you want ❣ I'm sure it will be lovely and turn out even more beautiful than what you expect. At first I didn't see the wedding even having a form on itself thanks to everything being made by me or family, until these last days. It really is a pocket/life saver.

I’m still in the 300 day range! But, I also think getting ahead of the game is best! My biggest fear is hitting the 3 month mark and being stressed. We all know that there will be sooo many small things that pop up then!

Welll...... I definitely didn't DIY everything. We are renting his tux and I bought my dress and our rings. Along with our venue, DJ, catering and photography. That being said we did DIY our flowers, cake and all of our decorations! Its definitely do able! I could have had catering all handled (my uncle is a chef and offered) but i wanted him to enjoy the day and not bust his butt trying to cook for 100 people! I give you major kudos and if I could have had alot more help in different areas I would have DIYed everything. Its a great affordable option. Just give yourself planning time because even the amount of DIY projects I took on I definitely stressed myself out more than I really needed too (Also working 2 jobs while trying to accomplish all this plus being a mom didn't help)!
