Has anyone used/ using doilies instead of charger plates ? Id love to see some pics and hear where you got them from!

    I'd pass on it honestly, and I'd pass on chargers too. Use a nice napkin, folded at each place setting.

    You can do paper dollies which are cute and affordable. They come in different colors too.

    To me doilies would just look cheap. I would echo the suggestion of a colored linen napkin or many party rental companies are offering mismatched antique china. That could give the tables the classic look I believe you may be going for with the doilies.

    I just checked amazon to see what a pack of cotton doilies would cost...like $10 for 4 6" doilies...

    At that point, you're better off buying the charger plates from dollar tree. And they're full sized, too.
