Dogs, and getting them home.

Jazmine, on May 28, 2019 at 5:36 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
Hello,

So we want our dogs to be in our wedding but we are unsure how to get them home after the ceremony as our venue is about an hour away and we won't be staying with them that night.

Who should we ask to stay with them as family and friends will be celebrating with us

How do we get them home?

Any ideas or help greatly appreciated

We hired a sitter that knows our dog. I'm dropping her off Thursday evening, she is bringing her to the wedding Saturday for the ceremony & pictures, then taking her home and keeping her our entire honeymoon. Having a dog at a reception is crazy & most venues won't allow dogs where food is served.

Idk if this would fit in your budget, but there are actual businesses specifically for this. They pick up your dog and bring them to the ceremony, typically handle keeping them occupied during the ceremony (bathroom breaks, treats, etc), and take them home after.

Your best bet is to hire an outside person. Our venue is only 15 mins from our house so we are having one of our friends take our dog home. He'll miss half the cocktail hour tops, but that's not so bad at all. With an hour time frame you def need a sitter!

Hey Jazmine! Have you worked out someone who will be able to look after your dogs?
