Does the Pianist get invited to rehearsal dinner?

Martha, on May 31, 2017 at 10:24 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

The Pianist is the brides mother's friend, who then changed her mind last minute and opted to only play one song and now we have to hire someone else to do what she was originally going to. Do we invite her to the rehearsal dinner? I feel she just wants to be included. She also just had to host the bridal shower which was so cramped, people couldn't even see the bride and had to stand in a hallway for 2 hours. I feel like she needs to be the center of attention taking away from the bride's mother. How do I politely not invite her to the dinner or would that be in poor taste of me not to?

The rehearsal is for immediate family and the bridal party. You could tell her that you are so happy she is coming to the wedding but only the bridal party is coming to the rehearsal. Good luck!

If you need to her to attend the rehearsal then she needs to be invited to the rehearsal dinner!
