Does the matron of honor wear the same color as bridesmaids?

Okay, so I just asked another question about a Man of Honor, but just in case I decide to ask my mom instead, I have this question too. I'm having a dillema. My mom is a size 22 and my other bridesmaid is probably a size 8. Also, my mom is 50 and my other bridesmaid is 13... So, would my mom wear the same color? My colors are purple and lime green and my other bridesmaid is wearing purple with lime green shoes. I'm not even sure we could find anything age appropriate in the same shade at DB. HELP!!!

Usually your MOH has a little something to set them apart. It can be something as simple having all your girls wear the purple dresses and your MOH wearing a lime green sash or different color flower bouquet.

I think yes. The only difference between my MOH and my BM is my MOH's dress has chiffon on it, where the BM's are all satin. But same color.
DB has a ton of different style dresses, so she could wear the same color still. And they have a lot of jackets and such if she is worried about strapless.

What ever you like. You could get her another purple dress in the same fabric and just buy the lime green ribbon and she could have a sash in that colour, or you could get something in the lime green sewn into the dress.

My MOH nad BM dresses are the same but in my BFF's wedding my dress was pale pink and the BM's were pale blue, and in another friends wedding me and the other BM were in light purple but the MOH was in light purple
