Does David's Bridal's collection on website question.

Sorry if the title doesn't make sense. WeddingWire won't allow me to fix it!

Does anyone know if David's Bridal stores have more dresses to offer than what is showed online? I'm searching online and there's actually not that many mermaid/trumpet lace type dresses that I like. There's maybe 2 I'm interested in so I made an appointment this Friday to try it out. I'm hoping they might have more options in store. I really hope I find a dress at the first stop, lol I'd hate to extend it out to another!

There's this boutique an hour and half away, their dresses are beautiful and under $1,000. These dresses are normally $1,500 around my area. I'm hoping I'll find something at DB and not have to resort there.

I think all dresses David's Bridal carries are online, unless they are discontinued & are getting rid of whatever inventory they have left of the dress. From personal experience, it's WAY different seeing a dress online or on a model and seeing it on yourself so I'd be open to trying on as many shapes, fabrics, etc. of dresses in the store even if you don't think you'll like it especially if you don't want to go to another store. I personally wouldn't have been happy trying on dresses at only one salon, I would have been curious to what else was out there that I was missing out on trying.

I agree with MrsD. I believe that what's online is everything that's in stores, but they definitely look way different in person. I had two dresses picked out online that I loved and when I tried them on, I hated them lol. I would just get a general idea of the style you think you want, but still be open to trying something different! I've always known I wanted a ballgown, but my sisters talked me into trying a mermaid. I didn't end up getting it, but I loved the way it looked on me!

I think they actually may have more online than in the store because they have online exclusives. But seeing a dress in person is way different than online. I actually got my dress from David’s Bridal, and didn’t like my dress at all online. Seeing it in person let me see the color of the fabric better and the different details of the gown, none of which showed in the photo. I would go and look at dresses at your local store. If nothing else, it can help you start narrowing down what you do/don’t like once you try them on. That will save you time if you do have to travel to another store so you can get better use of your appointment.

When I went Saturday I seen a few looks that I hadn't seen online or didn't notice online.

Thanks all! Wish me luck Smiley laugh ...we'll see how it goes or what I end up with. I've always imagined mermaid/trumpet but will keep an open mind.
