Does anyone regret spending so much money?

We are planning and we have increased our budget to accommodate the things we'd like to have for our day, but it feels like so much money for just one day? Does anyone regret spending so much money?! We are paying for everything ourselves and we can afford it, but I'm just having a sticker shock and wondering if we should scale back. Just curious if anyone had regrets about the money spent or was it worth it. We're planning on about 150 guests.

We actually were pretty realistic with how much it was going to cost right from the beginning. That being said, there are still things that give me sticker shock (our cake was one of them but it'll be delicious). There are ways to cut spending that will not affect your guests' experience and will frankly be better for the environment (ex no ceremony programs, menus etc). We spent money on what was most important to us, but we're also not spending crazy amounts of money for barely noticeable things (ex table numbers). You have to see where you're willing to spend a little less, and know where you're going to need to splurge. However, I never recommend anyone go into debt over a few hours.

I kind of hate spending money on stuff, so in that way I don't like it. We're not spending all our money or anything and we have a smallish budget for a smallish wedding, but it would be no big deal to elope and take a really nice trip with the money we are spending. (Spending money on travel is always okay by me) I'm trying to tell myself it's worth it to get our families together and such.

I'm having this same thing!! But I just think that if I were to go cheap I would regret it and look back on the day and think about all the things I should've/could've done differently if I spent a little more. Go for it girl! If you have the money to spend do it, you won't regret it!

I put down the deposit yesterday on our venue. I've had really bad anxiety For the last few days about it. Second guessing everything. I was quoted $295 for my bridal bouquet, which just made me want to cry, but it's my dream bouquet, so there's that. Total floral quote is $700, which compared to some users here, is really good.

I want a videographer, just not sure it's in the budget right now, but I know I'd regret it if I didn't have one.

No because we budgeted for what we can afford. We are having a very modest, affordable wedding and know that we will have no regrets.

Just do what you can afford and cut costs where you're able to. If you can afford it do it you'll be happy you did.

No regrets this far! I’m getting literally everything I want. The only thing that I wish I would have “scaled back” on is our paper. I never in my life thought I’d spend 2k on various forms of paper but between the gatefolded 5x9 invitations and the die cut menu cards I just HAD to have lol , here we are. Life is short, do what you want (just don’t go in debt )

I'm certainly not happy on the amount of money we are spending, but I don't think that we will regret it. It is just one year of having a tighter budget for other things. I feel better when I hear about people spending twice or three times as much as we plan to spend. Haha, whatever to make me feel better.

At present, I'm regretting spending as much as I did on my dress. We'll see if that remains after the wedding.
