I found a selfie frame clearance item at my local whole foods. I had to get it. My FH and I are both Asian and let me tell you - Asians LOVE pictures and taking pictures. Our plan is to have our cocktail hour on the outdoor patio. Traditionally, we would take pictures with our guests at every table during dinner or guests would meet us at the dance floor as each table gets dismissed to get in line for the buffet.
It's really important to me that we eat dinner, so taking pictures with guests during cocktail hour would be a break from the norm and we can get our pictures in. We're also lucky bc our view/background is a city skyline/landmark. We would take group pics and print them out and send when we send out "thank you" cards.
With the selfie frame, I was thinking we would just leave it on the outdoor patio for cocktail hour. While we're taking pics, other guests would love to take a picture with the frame. I would like all copies of pics taken, so one option:
Option 1: Guests can take with phone, then polaroid and glue onto guest book (most people do this with photobooths anyway). We do have a hashtag but not everyone uses it.
Option 2: Use a disposable camera
Option 3: An old iphone would be so risky - someone might steal it.
The selfie frame is more of a fun thing to do during cocktail hour, if guests get bored.
Our photographer is also offering his own photobooth (at a very discounted rate for us) and that would be ideal for bigger groups (which both our families have). From what vendors have told me, this is the kind of photobooth that guests usually do when the reception is somewhat done and when dancing starts. We were thinking of having him there for an hour (or 2 hours max).
Thoughts?
THANKS!
