Does A Pretty $0.21 Stamp Exist?!

Lady Di, on May 28, 2014 at 3:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I'm driving myself crazy because it turns out I need $0.91 to send my invites all because of my little rhinestone buckle (*rolls eyes* I just haaaaaad to have it at the time....ugh!). Anyway I have a bunch of wedding themed $0.70 stamps but now I need another $0.21 cents and the only thing the post office has is some ugly Lincoln stamps. I'm not super picky, but I just don't want Lincoln next to white roses on my red envelopes LOL. I don't care if they are hearts, flowers, butterflies...doesn't matter as long as it's mushy Smiley smile

Does anyone know where I can get some "out of print" stamps for a reasonable cost? I tried eBay but I guess since they are "collectibles" now everybody wants like double face value and I really don't want to pay much more than what I would have to in the post office. I looked at Zazzle.com but I'm not paying over $1 per stamp for something that only needs $0.21. Any help would be most appreciative

The post office sells $1 stamps but I don't know if they have pretty designs.

Hmmm, all I can find are Lincoln stamps for 21 cents. There are hummingbird 34 cent stamps that are pretty, but depending on how many you needed, that could add up. I know a lot of people don't like to hear it but I doubt your guests will notice.

Nope. There is no such thing as a pretty 21-cent stamp that costs only $0.21.

Roll with it. If people object to the ugly-guy's-head-on-a-stamp and complain, they are crazy. If they are that worried about a STAMP, do you really want them at your wedding?

I used american flag stamps on all my invites; I don't understand why so many brides want to use pretty stamps (like the extra expensive ones I've seen from zazzle). It's just an envelope.

Omg! I just weighed my invitations today with a forever stamp and they said i needed another 21 cent stamp. So they gave me Lincoln ones!!! I was like uh do you have any other ones? These are for my wedding invitations and they said no... WTH. So ugly!

I haven't found any other ones either. I guess we will just have to use these ugly ones. :/

You can create your own on Zazzle, however they would then cost more than $0.21 each. I HATED the stamps that I used they didn't go at all with my colors, but then I thought who cares. People look at the stamp for maybe a second and probably never think about the stamp design at all or if it matches the envelope/invite/colors/theme..... We want to paint this whole wonderful picture, but really no one looks at the stamps.

You could to 2x $0.10 + $0.01 or opt to pay more and do the pretty $0.46 Kaleidoscope ones, or you could have the post office meter them all instead.

Honestly no one is going to remember the stamps they received on the outside of the envelope. Rock it out with the Abraham Lincoln ones.

Dude see what happened when you couldn't give up the rhinestone buckle? Don't let Lincoln be your rhinestone buckle.
