Does a boy have to be a ring bearer?

Pamela, on November 13, 2011 at 4:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

I have 3 lil girls that i would like to partake in my wedding in april.. I dont want 3 flower girls and want to be different. I was thinking of having one of my girls as a ring bearer. I would still put her in a dress like the flower girls just in a different color.. i have 2 boys to choose from for a ring bearer, but again i want it to be different... I wanted to know anyone's opinion on this.. Does a boy have to be a ring bearer?

HA! This is cute! I have three nieces and one of them wants to be the ring bearer. I want a simple wedding so we can all move on to the reception part lol but I'm thinking about letting her. I think it's cute!

My niece was our ring bearer; she was cute as could be and I didn't hear anyone say anything about the ring bearer being a girl instead of a boy.
