Do you take veil off when making your reception entrance?

Just curious if you take off the veil prior to entering reception?

I’m not really sure, I think it depends on the veil and the bride.

I think it's most common to take it off before the reception. That's what I'll be doing. I'd be too scared people are going to step on it or I'll get it caught on things if I wore it during any of the reception (my veil is cathedral length though, so not as much of a worry if you're doing a finger length).

Depends on the bride and the type of veil, shorter veils you can get away with wearing for sure. A cathedral veil, on the other hand (like mine), will be a hazard. I want to wear mine for our first dance so I'm thinking I'll keep mine on until then. Do whatever you wish to do! You're the bride!

I was planning on taking mine off anyways but it came out of my hair on the party bus while my H and I were dancing....

I agree with others, the longer the veil the more tedious it is to keep wearing it. I had a cathedral veil.

I think it depends. I plan to wear mine until the end of our first dance (which we go into right after our grand entrance)

During the ceremony I had a long veil but during reception I had a short veil so I had veil all day just different length.

I plan on taking mine off. It’s chapel length so I wouldn’t want to step on it.

I took my chapel length veil off after the ceremony. My veil was heavy.

It just depends on what you want to do. I personally spent a crap ton of money on mine because it's a beautiful lace scalloped edge cathedral veil and I'm not taking mine off, actually im having it bustled with the train on my dress so there aren't any accidents through the night.

If you want to, it's up to you. I took mine off but I've seen other brides wear theirs for the whole reception. There are no rules.

It all depends how much I like my updo. If it's super plain, I'll most likely keep my veil on during the reception. My veil is a fingertip length.

Hey, I am taking mine off because mine is a cathedral veil and I just want it out of the way. I do know some people keep theirs on during the reception or at least for the entrance and I think that is just for the pictures but I am not sure. I don't think there is a rule so I believe what ever you feel comfortable doing will be great.
