Do you HAVE to match your bridesmaids and groomsmen?

I've had wedding party crises lately...one (of my five) bridesmaids told me she will be eight months pregnant at the time of my wedding and prefers not to stand up. My fiance has asked four of his groomsmen and had one more to ask when we found this out. The groomsman who has not been asked yet also...

I've had wedding party crises lately...one (of my five) bridesmaids told me she will be eight months pregnant at the time of my wedding and prefers not to stand up. My fiance has asked four of his groomsmen and had one more to ask when we found this out.

The groomsman who has not been asked yet also proposed to one of my bridesmaids about a week ago, and I found out last night that my bridesmaid and possible groomsmen will be getting married the week before I will, and I have been asked to be a bridesmaid in HER wedding.

If my fiance asks Daniel to be a groomsmen, then I have five groomsmen and five bridesmaids. Great, but only 4 of my bridesmaids will be standing up.

If I ask another bridesmaid then I am afraid my friend will feel pushed out of the wedding just because she's pregnant. (Plus I'll have to get a different dress &dollarSmiley winking.

IF Daniel is asked and we stay with the plan, then we have one guy with no girl. Yipes. What should I do?

I think she will understand since she will be very pregnant. Uneven party doesn't matter. I wished I had kept by party even smaller......I will probably be pregnant at my sis' wedding, 1st trimester. She was worried that I might be very prego or popped out a kid by then. omg. I was upset that that was her excuse for not making me a bm, especially since she was mine. Now, I'm not sure that I really care what she decides, but I will not be in charge of coordinating anything else. It's all or none for me.

I have 3 girls, and fh has 1 guy. but the BM and matron(married) might be cut out of lives in 2 weeks when fh returns. so my "original" moh, may stand for FH, and my 2nd matron(i'm done with the bm/moh thing lol), will stand for me Smiley winking

I went to a wedding a few months ago where 1 of the GMs just dropped out of the wedding party and decided he wasn't doing it even though he told the couples yes. They too were wondering what to do and finally decided the hell with it... one guy will walk down with two girls... it was actually pretty nice and something different... and of course for the reception we all laughed when he walked out alone, snapped his fingers and then the girls came to his side Smiley smile lol
