I think my favorite part was designing things such as my signs and stuff. Just because it was a little project in itself

I'd say the mass shopping I did on Amazon on 3 different occasions for decorations, flowers, and accessories. I love saving money, I love shopping, and it's exciting when I know it's the day the stuff is coming

I had a lot of fun doing the seating chart, haha! And getting all our engagement pictures. And writing my vows!

My favorite part has been choosing music for the ceremony & reception. I loved choosing the ceremony music because it gave me the chance to incorporate my favorite hymns and religious songs into this really important day. And I loved choosing the reception music (just recently!) because FH actually got really into picking songs. Smiley xd

I enjoyed writing our ceremony together. We are using a lot of symbolism throughout the day and it meant a lot to incorporate that along with our nerdy touches. I honestly can't wait to dance with her and hug people that came to show us love and support.

Mine is walking down the aisle and seeing FH for the first time. I’m also excited about doing a hand-fasting at the wedding, no one knows about it!

I loved wedding planning, but I think my favourite part was venue shopping! There was a venue that I hadn’t really considered but they announced an open day that was free to attend so I dragged them fiancé along. The food was soooo good, and there was one waiter we really loved so much if we had chosen them we were going to ask he work our event! haha It was actually so good we put them on the list but the got scratched bc they seems oddly rigid about their timing, what room we could use etc.

We also took a whole Saturday and went to FIVE venues. But it was a really nice day, we stayed at one place we checked out to have an amazing seafood platter on their deck overlooking the beach and it was the first time it felt real and fiancé really stepped up and got involved, seemed interested etc. We ended up not choosing any of those places but I loved the process.

I have soo many favourite moments from the day but for the sake of picking one, doing shots of sambuca (yuck!) out of the bottle, in our wet wedding attire (we went for a swim!), with the painter we had hired, on the street in the middle of the afternoon!

It’s a Celtic and Norse tradition where the officiant physically ties the couple’s hands together to show unity. There’s usually a blessing that goes with it. It was once used to signify you committing/ tying yourself to a person when marriage was not allowed. Some people would do it as an engagement, where you do a hand fasting to commit yourself to that partner for a year and at the end of that year you decide to marry or not

It’s also where phrases such as “bonds of holy matrimony” and “tying the knot” come from
