Do these invitations match?

Kylee, on November 11, 2021 at 3:41 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

Do these invitations match? The color of these is “Greige” but i feel like since they’re neutral it’s okay? Our colors are emerald, shades of pink (fuschia, blush, coral), orange, and gold. The overal aesthetic of very boho with wicker and lots of flowers. The venue is a greenhouse.

The invitations and your inspo pics are all gorgeous but if we are going on the assumption of what to expect at the wedding based on the invite... I would not expect what follows. Which is totally fine! But, if you want an invitation that suggests what the day will look like... then I don't think it does, gorgeous though it is.

But, you could totally make it work, by including that soft dove grey somewhere in the final look, whether that's in ribbons on bouquets, matching signage, napkins, whatever. I think it would be quite easy to incorporate.

I agree with Rosie! Everything is lovely, but I wouldn’t assume your color palette is what you have here if all I saw were the invitations.

I’m not too worried about people being able to assume the color palette based off the invitation since i doubt anyone will even remember what the invitations look like. I just want to make sure they’re somewhat cohesive you know? Like you would send back and gold acrylic invites for a barn wedding with hay bales lol

Your wedding inspo pictures are definitely brighter and bolder colors, but I think they work together!! 💌

I like how the floral details help tie in the greenhouse vibe!

Maybe it's just me, but while everything is super pretty I don't think they match 😅 I feel like for the vibe you're going for gray just isn't the best choice. Honestly, if they made what was gray in one of those pinks you were talking about I think that's be gorgeous! However, if you main concern is formality and not overall look, I do believe the formality of the two match.

I think the invitations look nice but don't really match the colours and the feel you are going for. Sorry but just my opinion Smiley smile.

I think Rosie said it best.

Neutrals go with everything and help balance out the bolder colors of your spring wedding, so what you have picked out 100% works with the rest of your wedding. However, if you want your invitations to reflect the theme of your wedding, invites with more color would be a better bet. I personally love watercolor florals for spring wedding invites, and you can absolutely find designs that incorporate the brighter colors you have picked. If the goal is to have the guests dress in brighter, spring hues as opposed to more neutral, formal colors having an invite that reflects that might be a better choice.

I haven’t been able to find an invitation set with bold colors that doesn’t feel juvenile to me. All of our bold colors will be reflected with live flowers so i feel like it looks okay but on paper and decor it feels like too much if that makes sense

I totally agree you can have a more neutral invitation. You need to choose what you like. Just keep in mind that while a more neutral stationary palette will coordinate well with your wedding colors, it won't convey that expectation to your guests. Only you can know if that is important to you or not.

Also its worth considering the theme of your wedding website. If the website is more colorful, and your invitations direct people there, then guests will still get a snapshot of your brighter, springtime theme even if the paper stationary is more neutral colored.

If you do want bolder/more spring invites, here are some options:

    https://www.zazzle.com/s/watercolor+floral+wedding+invitation

    https://www.zazzle.com/s/coral+floral+wedding+invitation

    https://www.zazzle.com/s/orange+pink+wedding+invitation

I don't think they look juvenile, but they invites should reflect your wedding and your tastes. What I think of them is irrelevant!

Although I think the invitations are so pretty (and the venue is gorgeous.. those colors are amazing too), i would go with something more in line with your theme. The invite sets the tone for the wedding. If I received an invite like that I'd expect a very muted wedding at a much different location.

The invitations look very nice, but they could also be more colorful like flowers.
