Do the groom and groomsmen have to match??

Heaven, on March 29, 2019 at 1:13 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
My wedding colors are pink and grey. My bridesmaids are wearing a soft pink called petal and my MOH is wearing darker shade of pink called quartz from Davids Bridal. I am wearing white and my fiance is wearing a black and white jacket, black pants, and bow tie. My question is what color suits should the groomsmen wear; grey or black? I want grey seeing that that it is apart of my wedding colors but with my fiance wearing black and white I'm not sure how it would look so black would be playing it safe. Also we are going to have the best man tie and vest in quartz to match my MOH and the rest of the groomsmen in petal to match with the bridesmaids.

My fiancé will be in grey and the groomsmen in black. I let him decide what colors they’d be in. I definitely think it’s okay for them to be in different colors

This is the look we are going for. We really wanted my FH in white because that's what his dad wore when his parents got married and he passed away. I think it looks good!

Those are my wedding colors I will be wearing a fuschia wedding dress and my FH will be wearing a white suit. The groomsmen will be in a dark grey suit. My bridal was suppise to be in white dresses our wedding got switched from late summer to winter. So they will be in grey/silver. Dresses all except for one she will be in white.

They don't have to match, and the groom should stand out as "The Groom" anyways.

I think this looks awesome and would compliment the pinks without being too matchy. I say go for it!

My FH is going to wear navy and the guys will be in grey. I love having the groom stand out a bit. I could totally see the suits like the photo above^^

I think it will be fine. I've been to a few wedding where the groom is in a darker or lighter color than the rest of the men. The last wedding we had for our friend, the guys were in tan and groom in black. Even been to one where groom was in a white tux! It looked great!

You could always do your FH in a dark charcoal and the guys in a lighter grey. Then he stands out but still is in the same family.
