Do the bride and groom give gifts to anyone?

I know traditionally the bride and groom give gifts to their attendants. However, I’m wondering if anyone else is expecting gifts from us? (i.e. our parents, the readers, etc) Did you get gifts for anyone and if so, what kind?

We gave a donation to the church for our priests gift, parents and wedding party gifts.

It's okay to not go overboard with your gifts. In this age of Pinterest and social media blasting, it's easy to feel pressured into putting together elaborate gift boxes for your bridal party and family members. In reality, a card will always suffice. There are plenty of Etsy shops that make cute personalized cards for people involved in your wedding. Inside the card, make sure to write a personalized thank you note for the role they played in your wedding. For example: How glad were you to have found her? How did she cater to your needs? What will her photos mean to you for years to come? Etc. Same goes for the officiant. How did they make it special for you? What did their speech mean to you? Will you remember their words forever? A personalized touch is timeless. Even if personalized mugs from Etsy are cute...

The bridesmaids and groomswoman are getting wine glasses filled with their favorite candy and a robe for them to get ready in. Flower girls are getting pillows with their names. Ring bearer is getting a stuffed dinosaur with his name on it since he loves dinosaurs. My mom is getting a robe and a collage shaped like a a heart with photos of me growing up. My dad is getting a travel mug that says father of the bride. He uses a travel mug everyday and a pair of walks he can wear to the wedding that says this of all my walks this is my favorite. Groomsmen, usher and bridesman are getting mugs made out of the handle of a baseball bat with their names on it. Fiance's mom is getting a photo of us by a tree she planted in honor of her late father. Fiance's dad is getting something alcohol related. I am still debating if I want to get anything for my grandmother who is doing a reading at our wedding. If so it will be something small, but nice.

Those are very nice . I like the wine glasses with fav candy . The picture of the two of you by the tree is priceless . I thought about the socks for my dad and cufflinks for my brother and hubby.
I don’t want to over do it , but I want something different that they will appreciate .

I see in the comments that people are giving the Officiant a gift, if not family friend or close to, why a gift? Usually you make a monetary donation to the Church he / she belongs too or them? The service is technically 'free'. OR if its a paid service, then you pay them, why a gift on top of that?
