Do people ever buy their dress online?

I haven't heard of it. Look for reviews for the site. You could always see if there is another website might have the dress.

The contact email is someone's personal gmail email address. That seems a little sketch. That's not standard for a legit company.

ETA: The way things are worded in their privacy and return policies also seem off. They seem like they were written by someone who isn't familiar with writing things of that nature for legit companies.

I had tried to find the actual designer of this dress because I loved it, but all I could find were China knockoff sites/eBay and they all have the exact same 3 photos. They must have stolen the dress pics from somewhere, but I couldn't find the original designer

The dress I have my heart set in is a runway designer that isn't for sale and if it was I am sure it would be way over my budget. I am going to a local seamstress. I think it's going to be very affordable. This local company offers sew classes and specialized services like formal gown creation. I recommend trying that route if your heart is set on that dress.

There have been a lot of bad experiences with online dress purchases. Unless you've tried that dress on, in store, you are gambling with the outcome.

You may be able to search for it, but MNA shared a video a while back of her online purchase which didn't work out.

I bought my dress online and love it! It can certainly be a gamble, but if you have time on your side and are willing to risk the money, then I say it's worth a try! Check for any reviews for the site and if you can pay through PayPal it can give you an added security (in case nothing ever shows up or items are damaged, PayPal can play intermediary.)

I bought my dress online, but it was from a trusted shop in the USA.

This dress is by a designer called Reem Acra, I wouldn't personally trust that site.

@Jodi congratulations on your dress that was ordered from China and was ripped off from a designer who spent hours creating it without seeing a dime or any sort of credit for their work.
