That will mostly depend on you and your future spouse’s preferences. Is there a genre both of you really don’t like? Are you ok with cuss words or will there be children at your wedding? The Do Not Play List will be different for every couple.

Sweet Caroline is on mine just a bunch of drunk people screaming "bum dum dum" like it's the only line in the song irks me.

Other songs are just songs that have no place being at a wedding: lips of an angel for example.

Song #1 on my Do Not Play list is the Chicken
Dance. Some other ones we put on there are the Macarena, Locomotion, and like 1-2 other similar songs that I can't remember at the moment.

I said no line dances, the chicken dance, macarena, YMCA, etc., and then the only other song I had was "don't stop believing" I'm a huge journey fan, but that is a "bandwagon" song and is way to over played for me to enjoy it lol

We trust our DJ (he's a family friend) and we know how he djs so we're not worried. My only request was NO line dances.

We're going to have a line dance or so because our crowd likes to dance and that's an easy way to get people onto the dance floor. We said no sad songs, breakup songs, or songs that remind either of us of ex's (we listed those out individually). We're having an adult-only wedding, so we don't mind a few curse words, but nothing overtly profane.

I have been building lists on Spotify and listened to them periodically ... It's YOUR DAY ! play whatever you want.

We added a list on our website for guests to requests songs if they want , we got some good feedback. I also saw some good ideas like inserting a little card with your RSVP with a song request for your guests --- this is if you want to people please.

We have a ton of out of town people which is why I wanted to give people some joy ! Line dances are corny and rarely do I see people excited about them when they get played.
