Do not play list

also didn't really want to hear songs with cuss words during the dinner portion - had a lot of kids and religious officials at my wedding so wanted to keep it more PG

No Cupid Shuffle, Wobble Dance, none of that. We have other songs that aren’t the typical cliche wedding line dance songs.

Song #1 on my Do Not Play list: the Chicken Dance. We have a couple others on there too (Macarena, Locomotion, etc), but for the most part, we didn't put too many songs on that list.

No chicken dance, no beer barrel polka, we said either cupid shuffle or electric slide, but not both

We said nothing sad, about breakups, or anything like that. We also asked our DJ not to play any specific songs tied to bad memories, such as songs either of us had with ex's. We'll probably do a few line dances since our crowd likes them. I asked the DJ to play instrumental covers of pop songs during our cocktail hour so there aren't any obscenities before anyone has had a drink or so to loosen up lol.

I'm really picky about music so my do not play list is pretty long and actually has a lot of popular dance and wedding songs

1) literally anything country that isn't on our must-play list

2) Pharrel's Happy

3) Bruno Mars That's What I like--and many others

4) Justin Timberlake Can't Stop the Feeling

5) Anything cheesy specifically about marriage (Bruno Mars Marry you, Train Marry Me)

6) The first dance song for my husband's first wedding (I feel like this one isnt a bridezilla move lol)

7) Any line dances that arent on my must-play list

8) Shout

9) hokey pokey

10) any kid's requests

My poor DJ is gonna hate me lol.

View Quoted Comment Our do not play list is pretty similar. In addition, no Beyoncé, Kanye, Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift. There’s still plenty of mainstream and alternative music to pick from that most everyone enjoys.
