I did all the decorations and flowers, but we hired someone to do set up and tear down. I used sola wood flowers for all the flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces), did a lighted backdrop for the ceremony, faux rose petal runners for the ceremony space, lots of battery powered candles, and did the seating assignment display. I think that's everything.

Definitely loving the DIY stuff!! Shocked at prices of things I can do myself for a fraction of the cost. I’m doing my bouquet and his boutonnière, flower leis to wear around our necks for pre-wedding pictures the day before our destination beach wedding three hours away, birdcage veil and my own hair and makeup. Reception will be a month later.... I will be doing my own cake (I may go ahead and buy a cake and decorate myself with our colors) and beautiful dessert table, chair decorations and centerpieces, gift table decor, and head table. It will be fun!! Colors are deep purple, Caribbean blue, silver and ivory

Currently planning and DIYing (78 days out!) I did all the flowers (fake) myself, and place cards (custom coasters). We'll be setting up ourselves too. Planning all by ourselves. DIYing as much as possible.

I've never hosted anything in my life, let alone plan a wedding!!! I traveled for so many years, I haven't even decorated a home! So the first thing I thought I needed was a wedding planner. The local one I found with a wonderful reputation was $5k. She did florals too, but I still couldn't get my head around that price. Not when I had time to try it on my own. So Pinterest, YouTube, wedding books, and sites like this have saved me! It's very doable on your own...just make lots and lots of lists! And I'm looking to do a lot of DIY as soon as I get my Cricut!

I’ve been planning it all. One of my best friends and her husband are contributing the flowers, but we’ll likely still put them together as a group shortly before the wedding. I’ve got a good support team to pitch in and help. A cousin will be my day of coordinator and she’s also helping with some diy projects. But I’m not hiring a planner. I love making plans and hosting events (I haven’t done it much recently while I’ve been living with my parents), but I find it fun seeing a plan come together.

I’m having a DIY wedding! I am doing my own invites, centerpieces, decorate spot for photos, arch, all the signs, real flower bouquets, backyard games, setting up, etc.. It's a lot of work, but I love it. So far it’s been slightly cheaper, but it’s not worth the time if you don’t enjoy it.
