Do I tip my ceremony musician if he is playing during cocktail hour too?

I am hiring a classical guitarist to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. I read that you don't need to tip ceremony musicians but my musician is doing more than just the ceremony music. Should I tip him? He works independently and not for a company.

I had a string quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour and tipped all 4 of them $50 each.
