Do i need a throw bouquet?

Mrsn2020, on November 21, 2019 at 12:55 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 2 13
It's only $25 for a throw bouquet from my florist but I read an article that said I could just use one of my bridesmaids or MOH bouquets for the bouquet toss.
Do I really need to buy a throw bouquet?

I just used my own bouquet, but I had fake flowers and wasn't too concerned about it.

I was planning on repurposing my bridesmaid's bouquets for the centerpieces, but you could definitely reuse one of the bouquets. For my throw bouquet, I'm planning on just picking up a flower arrangement from my local grocery store. $25 isn't bad though. Good luck!

I’ve always kept my bouquet when I’ve been a bridesmaid so I think I’d feel a little weird if the bride made me give it back so she could toss it. I didn’t do a bouquet toss this time but at my first wedding I think I paid $20 for a toss bouquet so $25 doesn’t seem bad at all.

If your bridesmaid doesn't mind then I don't see why you should buy one

I don't think I'd want to use a bridesmaid bouquet for the throw bouquet. First, what if my girls want to keep theirs as a memento? Second, I'm kind of superstitious, which is the whole point of the bouquet toss. So, does tossing someone else's bouquet even count? In my mind, it has to be the bride's, or it's no good. lol

I'm doing artificial flowers, and will have a small-ish "bridal" bouquet made specifically for the toss.

I don't think you necessarily need to buy a toss bouquet. I would ask your BMs first to make sure they're fine with you using theirs Smiley smile

Not if you don’t want to. We skipped the bouquet and garter toss. Too awkward.

We’re skipping them both too for your exact reasons! Plus we don’t want to keep interrupting the night for our guests.

A bouquet toss is optional but ask your bridesmaids first before you toss theirs. Otherwise make a small one from fake flowers at Joann or Michael's

Don’t cheap out and get a separate bouquet.. their bouquets are as special to them as yours is to you.

Don’t take their bouquets away. Just grab a simple bunch at Costco or the grocery store and tie a ribbon around the stems for less than $10
