Do i have to wear white ?

So this is my fiancé‘s first and only Wedding. This is my third just to clarify so it doesn’t sound like I’m that kind of woman. I’m once divorced once widowed. Neither of the first two did I actually wear a wedding dress? It was more just an elopement this time. We’re doing the big thing but I am so accident prone. I am terrified to wear white, but then I don’t want to invest a whole bunch of money in a dress, I’m only gonna wear for an hour and I’d rather wear my wedding dress the whole time so it’s in all the photos and everything but does it really have to be white or even off-white? I don’t even wear white in my daily life so why does it have to be white? This is my question considering it’s my third I mean has society changed enough that if I wore another color, people wouldn’t gossip about it for a long time to come I’m like racking my brain right now and I really wanna hear from other brides but I’m also in my late 30s so it’s not like I’m a spring chicken. I’m just super conflicted and I want to hear from other girls.
