I don't think so. I don't have one because no one I know looks at it. And no one has even asked me about it either.

I made one and the only person that looked at it was my mom I'm pretty sure!

I have one and I put it on my save the date and no one has looked at it. So I'm just giving up on the website idea and putting an insert in my invite for any extra info I need hahah

I did a website, because I have a lot of OOT guests. I don't anticipate if being used a lot, but I thought it would be nice to have a place to direct guests for some info.

You do not need to do one (they are very new and many wedding have happened with out them :-) )

You don't have to have one. It's basically just all the information you'd have on an enclosure card + more info.

The rule is supposed to be that if you have a registry, you do NOT include that info in the invitation. But an ok place to have it is in the website. Alternatively, you or your mom gets a lot of phone calls asking where are you registered?

So the idea is you put the website info on the invitation, and then people can find the registry info from there. And if you have a wedding website, you can skip having RSVP cards and return envelopes, because people can RSVP online instead, saving you postage.

I made one and included it in my save the dates and only maybe a dozen people looked at it. I have all the information on hotel blocks and every single OOT guest has asked what hotels are close by, even those who looked at it, they missed that link. I wouldn't bother with it.

It is useful. Since it isn't good etiquette to put your registry in your wedding invitations, you could put your wedding registries on your wedding website. It is also very helpful for out of town guests. You can put travel/hotel info. It is also good for them to have something to look at since they have to travel. Websites will make planning easier for them. With that said, if you don't have a lot of out of town guests and you don't care about announcing your registry on it, then you don't have to have one. Smiley smile Good luck.

We didn't have a website. We had a lot of OOT guests. Everyone made it, everyone was fine. Didn't miss a website at all.
