Do I feed the Photo Booth Attendant

Tara, on September 11, 2013 at 9:32 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

We're having a photo booth for our reception. 4 hours with one hour of downtime for dinner. Is the photo booth attendant on the list of venders we provide a plate? I'm assuming it's a yes, but just want to be sure. Thank you.

Yes, I think it would be polite of you to offer them dinner.

I figured as much. Thanks for the input. We would have either way, just seeing what the norm was Smiley smile

Tara, I think it's pretty much the norm to feed the vendors. I've never been to a wedding yet where they weren't fed at least something. I went to a really upscale wedding once where all the guests got steak and lobster tail, but I noticed that the vendors only ate steak. So I guess the couple just modified the menu for vendors. It didn't seem super nice, but they still fed them.

For vendors who are there the whole time yes, but I'm not sure that you need a photobooth for all five hours unless you have a really big crowd. Just an idea.

Feed the guy, lol..it's one person ;-)

We are...his is actually the only contract that doesn't say it, but we have a 4 hour package (it's their standard package) and I would hate him to be watching everyone else eat so we are!

Exactly...I wouldn't want him to watching people eat either. Dinner is the hour of down time.

Celia...their 4 hours plus the hour of down time is their standard package which was the absolute least expensive package. We found one company cheaper and this company met us half way on the difference. I looked at approximately a dozen companies in our area. We went with the company that has been the brides pick for the last 3 years. They do all the bridal shows in the area too. We're offering it during cocktail hour so the guests have something to do while waiting for the bridal party and then shut down for dinner, followed by 3 hours after. Other companies were double the price for half the time...plus we didn't want the company tearing down or setting up equipment during our event. ... Thanks again
