Dj? Yay or Nay?

Destiera, on August 24, 2019 at 2:33 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Our original plan was to have a stereo going with a playlist we created for our wedding during before the ceremony and for the reception. But, I’ve been really looking at it and a DJ doesn’t seem half bad? It must make the party so much more fun from the looks of it. Do you think it’s worth paying for a DJ? I’d love to hear from those who had a DJ or are planning on getting one for their wedding!

I had a DJ, and he set a great tone for the day. We had a french themed wedding, so our play list for guest arrival was specific with French lounge music. I knew the DJ from Highschool so he was able to be the MC and share some personal touches about me for the day. The reception music was key in reading the crowd and keeping the energy up. I highly recommend a DJ if you're interested in a roaring/festive party.

I would recommend one. We're getting one. You can check websites like Thumbtack and Bark for DJ's as well. They MC the entire event. They make sure everyone is having a great time. Definitely dig a little deeper and see if there's any that you like.

Definitely get a DJ. They know how to read the room and work the mood into their music choices. A playlist can't do that. You will also want someone to make announcements.
