dj vs No dj

Nefetera, on March 6, 2020 at 1:48 AM Posted in Planning 0 15
We aren't having a LIVE DJ at all. My event hall where we will be doing our ceremony and reception stated we don't need a DJ (which they do provide for an extra 250.00) he stated we can create a playlist via YouTube and he will monitor our music with YouTube premium. He stated that if i get the DJ it will be him providing the services physically if I don't either way he still monitor the music. Have any ladies or gents on this board ever been to a wedding where its just a playlist and no DJ? Pro and Co? Ill appreciate your feedback !!!

I’ve been to a wedding where they didn’t have a dj and just had background music only. They had no dancing or any kind of things like speeches or tosses either. So it was literally just a dinner and people mingling amongst themselves.

I had a dj for mine and he really helped set the mood and helped track time with the events cus he announced everything

I think a DJ is well worth it. They read the crowd and can get things moving. If you want your crowd dancing and involved then a DJ is a must.

When I First Started Planning I Was Set On Just Having A Playlist, But Then Realized Who Would I Have For An Emcee? I Think A DJ Is Worth The Price To Have A Good Dance Reception.

I really dont need any quoted its amazing my venue provides the cloud lighting, varies of different effects and add on. They even provide the DJ ...im just debating if i want them to DJ for us or Just play our playlist to save on that part. My venue is very flexible and thank god all those effects you mention is included for us.

We have a DJ and are happy with our decision, as DJs can read the crowd and liven up the mood

We want people up and dancing all night so splurging on a really good DJ was very important to both my fiance and I. Plus they do a lot more than just play music. Good luck Smiley smile

We are having live music and playlists when my friend isn't playing. We aren't a huge dance crowd so it works for us. I couldn't justify the cost of having a DJ for only a little bit here and there during the night.
