dj Song Requests

Mrscolón, on January 31, 2018 at 3:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

My DJ has an online account for me to add in songs I'm interested in, ones I DON'T want played, my requests for introductions, etc. I would love to know some that you have requested for these! Smiley smile

    Introductions:

Bridal Party - "Love Never Felt So Good" by Michael Jackson featuring Justin Timberlake

Bride & Groom - "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake

    Do Not Play List:

I really just can't stand "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke and the lyrics are not appropriate for a wedding. I also added "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Ray Jepson.

I didn't want to add too much for the Must Plays because I believe a DJ is hired to read your crowd, but I added a couple of songs in different decades to please most of my guests.

My husband and wedding party walked to "Take A Chance On Me" by ABBA. I walked to "Make You Feel My Love" by Adele. Recessional song" For Once In My Life" by Stevie Wonder. Entrance song: "Message of Love" by The Pretenders. First Dance: "Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me" by Galdys Knight & The Pips.

DO NOT PLAY: "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge, "Celebrate" by Kool and The Gang, any line dance songs and anything by Justin Beiber or Frank Sinatra (my husband hates Frank Sinatra).

MUST PLAY: "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, "Low" by Flo Rida (it's my jam), "24K Magic" by Bruno Mars, "You Ought To Be With Me" by Al Green, "Kiss" by Prince, "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" by Michael Jackson, "Brick House" by The Commodores, "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore.

•Do Not Play-All songs by Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé. Absolutely no country and no Banda.
    •Dinner-GoT sound tracks
    •Last song-Can't stop the feeling

we didn't have introductions and also refused to pick a song for cake cutting.

Our must plays were a lot of EDM, trance, 90's, and songs like Stand by Me

Do Not Play: Beyone, Carly Rae Jepson, Adele, Justin Beiber, and Love Shack by the B52s

Must Play: Living on A Prayer by Bon Jovi, Anything Queen (our last song is Can't Stop Me Now), Shipping Up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys

We have a live band so our list was slightly limited by their song list. They were willing to learn a few songs for us. I asked them to learn Boy by Lee Brice for my son.

My FH and I have been slacking so hard on this. The only songs I have so far are my processional song, our recessional song, and my daddy/daughter dance song. We need to get on it.

I'm walking down the aisle to a violin cover of "Say You Won't Let Go" by James Arthur. My Bridal party is walking down to another acoustic cover, this time of 1,000 years by Christina Perry (I think?)

Recessional is "Ring on Every Finger" by LoCash.

Introduction song is OMG by Usher.

Daddy-daughter dance is I Loved Her First by Hartland.

First Dance song is Perfect by Ed Sheeran.

Last dance, I ( and a lot of DJs) like to do one slow and one fast, I don't know the fast one yet but I'm going to do Wonderful Tonight for the slow one. Forgot who sings it, though.

Idk what I'm doing for the cake cutting song yet, and at some point I want to do Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" cause it puts me in the mindset to just let go and have fun.

I’m having a really hard time with this. All we have is the first song which is you and me by lifehouse. My fiancée hates Beyoncé so that’s out.
