dj song list suggestiom format

A dj is a professional with experience so you don't need to supply a full playlist. Just your first dance choice, a few must have songs, a do not playlist. Leave the rest up to them to read your crowd.

Any format is fine as long as the title/artist are specified. Many djs have a form on their websites to fill out with music choices

You might want to sort them into groups - preceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing.

Otherwise, best to ask them what format they prefer.

Hi Bree, I did an excel spreadsheet with name of song, artist, when to be played (ex: cake cutting), and any special notes, such as a link to download the song on Amazon Prime. Like Rebecca mentioned, categorized by prelude, ceremony, cocktail hour, etc. our DJ asked we indicate our “must play” songs which we highlighted. Hope this helps 🌹

Is it possible to ask for an organized list from the DJ? A lot of them have lists and a lot of the songs they say you might consider having are things you might forget about.

I would reach out to the DJ and see what they prefer in terms of format. I agree that since you're having your wedding in a foreign country, it will be especially important to convey your song choices beforehand.
