DJ recommendations

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a dj in NJ area. I'm not sure what to look for in a dj so any tips would be helpful. I've seen the questions about what to ask your dj but I'm talking about what I should be looking for before I contact them. If that makes sense. TIA

    I would check the vendors tab. Check their reviews on multiple platforms like on weddingwire, theknot, facebook, google! I found some vendors who had wonderful reviews in one place and horrible ones in another. I would also be sure they have a good number of reviews that span over a good period of time.

    I have a no frill dj for our wedding, he did my sister's wedding 6 years ago and I've never in my life seen a better wedding dj.. that's why I hired him for mine.. but it depends what you're looking for in a dj. Some people want the package, lights (our venue has them) photo booth tv's etc.. we didn't want all that crap.. we just wanted good music and everyone on the dance floor having a good time.

    It's north jersey. Do most djs do the same thing, like do they all do the intros and stuff

    Most do! Some might have an additional fee for MC/introductions, lighting packages, etc.
