DJ recommendations - Houston

Kelsey, on March 10, 2014 at 11:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Houston brides - any advice on DJs? We are looking to spend around $500 for a 4 hour reception with no lighting or equipment needed (the bar we are having the ceremony at has a DJ booth).

If any vendors look at this - we are having the reception Jan. 24, 2015 if you are available!

I am using Brad Turney, he use to be the DJ at Wild West, he now works at Whiskey River, but also has a DJ business. He wouldn't be able to do it on a Friday or Saturday night (mine is on Sunday, so I will have him) but he has associates that work for him. $150 an hour. This is one of the better prices I have found.

The DJ we are using for our 5 Hour ceremony/reception is DJ Moe Betta (Moe-Betta Entertainment). Im not really sure how much he charge, because the package we picked at our venue included him as the DJ. But if you'd like to reach out to him for a price quote or more information, here is his

I am using Essen Entertainment: http://m.youtube.com/user/jjessenmusic

He's fairly reasonable and at the price you're looking for. You can check out his work on the above YouTube link...I haven't actually used him yet, but he's quick to respond and very professional on all the times I have had to deal with him.

I am using Erica Tate company name is extreme sounds DJ entertainment located in porter Texas. She has been wonderful so far and checking in with me every few weeks on how wedding planning is going! A friend recommended her to me! $450 for 4 hours. Best Price I've found for an actual professional! Her number is 713-851-3234 if you wanted to contact her!

Texas pro audio starts at $550 for 5 hours. I found them on CL, but my neighbor is a DJ at on the rox, and he's doing our wedding. For a lot less than $500!!!

I see your date, and if you don't mind more of a DJ who just does the music, rather than an MC, let me know. He's trying to get started up on a side business.

I'm paying him, but I'm doing my own uplighting. Which will be donated to him as part of payment, and so he can get his inventory up and going.
