dj Pricing - worth it?

Christine, on April 15, 2021 at 11:08 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7
Hey everyone! I’m trying to decide whether or not to book a dj!

He is very familiar with our venue and has worked there multiple times. His lowest price is $1400 and he is there all day for our wedding (Covering ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). He also provides uplighting and extra lighting anywhere we want during the day of such as around the venue, at dessert table, and even our sweethearts table. He also is very close and has worked with our day of coordinator a lot.
We know there are cheaper DJs but we aren’t really party people so we don’t know if this dj would be worth it. Any advice or things to consider before booking?

Sounds like a good deal and he’s providing a lot of great extras like lighting and including music during ceremony!

There is always someone out there that is cheaper, but cheaper doesn't mean you're necessarily getting better value.

If you're unsure whether this DJ will be worth it, look at a few other DJs and consider if they offer the same inclusions and expertise.

No I'm buyinging the speaker and running off our phones with a specific playlist. The speaker is 150 with microphone and bluetooth capabilities and it's an investment because you can use it over and over. 1400 is one time.

For a professional DJ, I think that's a great price, especially if it includes all the extra lighting AND he'll be there all day providing services for every event of the wedding.

You could always research other DJ's that have similar packages and compare them though just to make sure, but I think it's a good deal!

That is a pretty good price considering all of the extras included. I also think of the piece of mind knowing he knows your venue and your DOC well is worth the money.

Seems like a good price based on all the extra stuff he is able to provide. And the fact that he is available all day is a bonus. Make sure to go over any particular playlists or songs with him. And provide an itinerary or schedule for him to follow for timing and stuff.
