My commercial general liability insurance are charged annually, are you looking to get coverage 1 day coverage for your wedding?

Just hire a DJ that have insurance.

Edith, are you getting coverage for yourself or for your DJ? Your DJ should have liability insurance. If you're getting it for yourself, it may be cheaper to actually hire a DJ. Liability insurance is expensive. If you're still planning on going that route, you can call your homeowner's insurance and see if they offer it. If not, try google to get the names of companies that offer it.

The dj needs to take care of this, since they'll be named on the policy. I believe they can buy a special event policy for just one day. I'm guessing it is your reception venue asking for this, in which case they will likely want to be added as a named insured. That should be no big deal either.

The company I use is U.S. Risk. They deal with larger event production companies.

If you are using a professional DJ...then this should be easy. The DJ you hired should provide this. All Professional DJs should carry liability insurance. If he/she doesn't carry it, then they need to buy insurance for themselves. It's something that is generally not needed, but a real DJ should still have it. Some venues require that the entertainment carry liability insurance. It should cost your DJ about $200-$250 for a single policy.
