Good morning!

Calling all brides from the Beaver County area! We are getting married at The Gathering Place at Darlington lake. The venue highly recommended using DJ Bruce Matteo as he has worked at the venue many times and being completely outdoor he is comfortable navigating the ceremony, cocktail, and reception areas and uses wireless equipment. However, I can't find any reviews for him online! His website is very minimalist as well as his Facebook. I want to trust the venue as they are professionals but I'm nervous. Has anyone used this DJ before or been to an event he DJ'd?

    I would stay away from a DJ that has no reviews. I was at a wedding there last year, and they did not use him. So I would do what you are comfortable with. Most DJs will work with you to plan a time line, and they know what they are doing, I would go with someone with reviews.

    Hey Kirsten, I cannot find him listed on WeddingWire. Have you gone back to your venue and asked why they recommend him so highly? Do they have testimonials, samples of his work, etc? If you trust their recommendation it might be worth taking a meeting with him just to check him out, but doing some of your own research into other DJ options as well
