    Welcome to the forums!

Prices are going to vary a lot based on where you're located. I'm outside of Philadelphia and our DJ was $875 for 5 hours. We upgraded the package to include uplighting and a gobo design on the dance floor bringing it to a total of $1572.50.

Our photobooth was $1000. I found this to be an item where prices were all over the board. Make sure you read the fine print and know what you're getting. I had planned to do a Groupon for the photobooth and there were too many restrictions.

Depends on the area and quality of the dj/equipment.

Our wedding is in north Jersey, so we are paying $1650 for our DJ for the ceremony (discounted from $1800), cocktail reception and 4 hour reception. Ours is a daytime wedding, so we didn't need uplighting.

We got quotes for less, but this DJ was pretty top of the line.

I think photobooth rentals are around $800-$1000.

For DJs I've seen anywhere from $500-$1800. It all depends on quality and how much you're willing to spend. If you really want dirt cheap you can find someone on Craigslist who will DJ for $200-$400, but remember you get what you pay for.

    Photobooths are about $800-$1000.

Ah ok, MANDY- I'm from Virginia. Christine- That is the about the same quotes we got for both DJ and Photobooth, I am feeling better now about the prices. The DJ I am wanting to hire has been rated very well and I feel that the DJ is a big part of the wedding since they have to keep things going smoothly throughout the night. I wanted the photobooth because I know it will get alot of use and also to double as the wedding favors for the guests rather than getting something personalized with our names and dates that I know will probably ended up getting tossed. Thanks for the feedback much appreciated!!

Our DJ is a personal friend, so he's giving us a discount but it's still costing us $1200. I'm not sure what a typical photobooth rental is but we're getting ours through our photographer and it's costing us $450 for 4 hours.

I live in Alabama, and the best prices I've seen for a photo booth were $800/$850 for 4 hours. Haven't made it to researching DJs yet.

Wedding will be in Williamsburg VA. The 3 DJs we interviewed were between 1,200-1,800 depending on what package. We went with good reputation DJ and uplighting for 1500. Also got attended 4 hr photobooth for 4 hrs with book and unlimited color prints for $1000. With some early booking and military disc paid $2300 for both.

I did lots of research and found that if I was able to find a company to do multiple services like DJ and lighting/gobo monograms etc we could get a discount. I read the reviews thoroughly about all the different types of services because everyone knows they could primarily do DJ and thus be horrible at lighting or vice versa. Anyways, I found a company to do DJ service for 7 hours and 18 uplights along with a gobo custom monogram for right at 1300 in Illinois. That company doesnt provide photobooths but they can be added on to our photography package for about 500. This is a discounted rate as it is considered an add on to our wedding photography though.
