DIY Yard Sign (pics)

JMedd, on May 7, 2013 at 5:13 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 23

I just finished painting our sign that will go out near the road in front of our venue and I'm very happy with the turnout. Just a few more signs to go!

It looks great! I think I am going to be doing the same with old barn wood to let people know where to go and park and where to go for the wedding!

Those look great! I wish I was even somewhat artistic! I really want some cool signs but they would just look like a 5 year old painted them haha

Tatiana, we're going to nail the signs to stakes. They sell them in the lumber area of home depot or lowes, but FH is going to get some from work. The wood came from Lowe's. We bought a sheet of cedar wood since it was fairly thin (1/2 inch) and FH cut it with a skill saw. It cost us $13 for the wood and I got the paint from Hobby Lobby for $6.

Kelsey, for the first one I used tape to space out the letters and removed it as I went along. They're all hand painted - no stencils. I'm fortunate enough to have good handwriting.
