DIY Wood slices

Lindsay, on July 30, 2016 at 12:12 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3

HI all, I was wondering if anyone has had the wood slices as chargers/centerpieces and on the cupcake table? Did you just leave them natural, stain them, or polyethylene them? Thank you for any advice!

I've seen both ways! I like the natural way myself

I'm using them and by the vendor was told we can use it natural if the wedding is within a few weeks of purchase/cut. We will be buying earlier than that and they recommend sealing it so it doesn't crack, etc.

If you rent them they will probably be sealed in some way, because any moisture will stain the slices. If you are buying them for yourselves and using them "raw" it won't really matter, you just might not be able to reuse them if they stain.

Also, for clarification, often times there is oil Or a little bit of something that can get on the bottoms of the cupcake liners, so this is very likely to happen.
