DIY Winebottle Labels

BeckiO, on January 15, 2009 at 7:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Is anyone else making your own Wine/Champagne/Sparkling Cider Bottle Labels? I was trying to look for templates on where I can find one. I do have at least right now White Avery sticker paper, and plan to buy some in clear too, and their sticker paper is repositionable too. Please let me know if anyone has any template ideas that might be able to help me. I plan to leave the back part of the Label on so guests know the ingredients in the wine. I am planning to put what kind of Wine on the front of the bottle to save confusion when pouring too, since we will have kids (so I can label theirs with Sparkling Apple Cider). Any and all suggestions will be be Greatly Appreciated. Thank you.

Try this place. It's where I'm ordering my wedding favors (small bottles of sparkling cider) from.

    Good luck!

I found this link, (it's at the bottom) looks like you can add anything to it, like clip art and stuff.

Thank you both very much for your links and responses. There are plenty of Vineyards around where I live in Virginia that will make them for you, they just charge you extra to do them, which is why I want to make them myself with my hubby's and my Cinderella Theme logo on them. We're going to try out some of the Vineyards here on Anniversaries and which ever one we like, we're going to use wine from. Jessica, the link you gave is perfect. Not to mention it has links for templates for Water Bottles and a whole bunch of other things too. I'll have fun playing with the website and templates. Thank you.

That is a fun idea. Some years back I designed personalized labels for my brother-in laws home made beer . . . Lou Brew. I simply created the layout and put onto large shipping labels and then trimmed to size. Very easy. Along the same lines, there is a service at our local liquor store in which you can have bottles engraved.

Thank you for your reply. I think it will make the bottles fit into our theme, which is why I want to do it, not to mention, I'm always looking for ideas on the computer to jazz up our Cinderella Theme in a DIY way. Sadly there's only ABC Liquor Stores out here in Northern Virginia, and they don't offer the Bottle Engraving for us. You can only buy your beer and wine in Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, Drug Stores, but not in the Liquor Stores. The Liquor stores here are so small. The Vineyards which we have out here offer them for an extra $5/bottle and have nothing in our Cinderella Theme or even close. We are having a more casual reception for a Crawfish Boil/BBQ, but I think adding a custom label a bow and maybe a flower from the craft store will at least look like we cared about the presentation of our event. Thank you for letting me know about the shipping labels. The repositionable sticker paper is great and if it's not centered right the first time, I can work with it til it is.
