diy Welcome Sign

Jess, on February 28, 2021 at 3:27 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6
I got this frame that I want to put a piece of acrylic in to be our welcome sign. The frame didn’t come with any backing or clips or anything though so I’m not really sure what I need to hold the acrylic in it. Anyone have ideas?

Do you want it to be removable or are you okay with permanent? Because removable my suggestion would be putting small nails in to act as the tabs but permanent and easier would be a superglue like e6000

Its beautiful, looks similar to mine but I painted it silver. If you don't mind being permanent you could glue it together.

Just use masking tape or scotch tape if you dont want it permanent

I bought an open frame for my DIY welcome sign too. I bought a piece of plywood and ordered turn button backings for the frame from Amazon. So after the wedding, I can replace the center easily if I want.

I do cross stitch as a hobby and frame my own work all the time. Do not use superglue or any other epoxy - it will leak thru and look terrible. Get V nails from any hardware store or online. They are specifically made for picture frames. They are easy to install and remove with just a flat head screwdriver. Good luck!
