diy Welcome Gifts...

Maya, on May 17, 2020 at 8:22 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

I keep looking at these sites selling welcome gifts for my out of town guest. I really feel like I could do these myself and give them a really great personal touch. Any ideas or tips on how I can get started???

We just bought the welcome bags off amazon, had custom tags made for them that matched our invitations, designed a “newsletter” flyer that had information for all the events as well as a welcome blurb on there, then bought goodies from Costco/Trader Joe’s to go in the bag.

I bought bags at Michaels and put goodies in them. I printed a list of local things to do as well as a schedule for the weekend and had a Welcome sticker on each bag.

I like the idea of gifting them snacks that may be local or specialized based off the area

I didn't check Amazon for welcome bags. I'll try there...I've only been on sites like Etsy...Thanks!

I just ordered custom fridge magnets for ours from zazzle. with our favourite picture of the location we are getting married at. I also just ordered thank you cards for the gift bag/box from zazzle too (Unfortunately I opted to leave the date off) cause we just never know,,,

My favorite items as a guest: water & snacks (local snacks would be even great). A local map or information guide available probably for free from your local city. I’d skip the cheap fun items (sunglasses, flip flops, etc) because I would just to throw them away.

Lol I'll definitely follow your advice on not including basic throw away items

Good idea. Thanks. I also thought about including our original save the dates because I love them so much. But I'm certain that'd be tacky. I just hate wasting things and we had decided to move our date the day they arrived 😥
