I have no idea about DIY veils and it doesn't sound like you do either, so I'm not sure I'd risk it. Have you checked out Amazon or Etsy? They have tons of affordable options.

If you aren’t an experienced seamstress or at least excellent with DIYs, there’s no way of try to make my own veil. You might just end up wasting money and have nothing to show for it in the end. What is the “unknown” site that you’re hesitant to use your card on?

Amazon is where I bought my veil and it was only $35! I probably will only wear mine for ceremony and pictures so I didn't care if it was top quality. Amazon had so many options too!

Honestly, it can be very simple and inexpensive to make a cut-edge veil. Google "how to make a veil"; there are some great videos, as well. I made 4 different versions to get daughter's exactly the way she wanted it, and in total I'm sure I spent less than $30 for all the materials. Most tulle can be found at a fabric/craft store for as little as 50 cents a yard. (I also bought a much higher-end, softer tulle for about $10 a yard, which was about 2/3 of what I spent.) Daughter wanted a fingertip length veil, so I used less than 2 yards for each "draft." You'll need some simple hair combs (we used clear plastic ones, that were probably 4 for a dollar at Target or Walmart). In addition, you'll need a needle, thread, sharp scissors, and, if you want to make/use a pattern, you'll need tissue paper and straight pins. If you use regular tulle, you can give it a try for less than $5. Good luck!

Amazon would be my 1st pic by far. You don't love it you just send it back. I was going to make one too and had zero clue. I looked at alot of YouTub videos..my friend ended up making it. But Amazon has some pretty veils dirt cheap

I'd recommend Bridals by Teri pretty highly. It's an Etsy site that has a bunch of really nice veils at affordable prices. It's a couple bucks for swatch samples, and the simple single tier veil I went with was less than $25, and made of much nicer tulle than I could find at fabric stores near me.
