diy Timeline

I didn't put the centerpieces together until a few days before. You could start designing and compiling the materials ahead of time though

As early as you want. Only because I am an overplanner and things not being done early gives me anxiety I actually have a lot done already.
I have made and sent save the dates, i have made the bridal luncheon invites, as well as the wedding invites, RSVP cards, additional info cards and thank you cards.
Bridal bouquets and boutonnieres are done (even though I might change the boutonnieres).

Flower girl basket, favors, sign decor, cake stands, childrens activity bags, ring boxes, backdrops, wrapped silverware: all complete.
We started on our centerpieces last night.

I started early. Some things I did at 6 months. I just made a list and kind of put a time frame to it. I am almost 2 mo away and my time coming up I need to: Decorate my card box, print invitations, add purple flowers to my centerpieces, and spray paint some garlands, and work on my picture display. I guess its not too much because mostly everything else is done.

I started 6 months out and was lucky enough to have a trailer (that we brought to the venue day before) to hold and keep everything safe. We were FULL DIY - everything had to be brought to the venue so I wanted to stay ahead of everything rather than stress weeks before. Lots of luck!

Awesome, so I am right on track!! We are just about a 6 months out now, so I wouldn't be too early to start. Thanks for the luck -- I am sure I will need it.

Perfect. I am just starting to think about putting a few things together here and there. We are rounding out to 6 months here shortly. I just want to try and have as much as I can done by July (1 month before) so that way I don't have too much to stress about that close to the wedding.

I am such an overplanner as well. I feel like I need to have things done way in advance. I just don't like to have to be stressing about things close to the date. The earlier the better in my opinion.

Yeah! I am starting to make lists of what I need and buying little things here and there that I will need to do the DIY things.

View Quoted Comment Yes. That’s what I did. A little here & a little there. My bridal shower is this weekend. My goal is to immediately start on invitations this week. And by mid February I want to be done with my diy 😬. Lol not sure if i can make that happen or not. But I kind of want to get it over with so I can focus on the small detail stuff.
