I thought I'd share a successful DIY project we've undertaken for our centerpieces. Sometimes you see these tutorials & wonder if they'll actually work, right? In the tutorial she uses book pages, but I've seen these online done with maps or even music sheets.

I'm using an old road atlas I got at a yard sale & a LOW TEMP glue gun from Walmart. No trouble finding any of the supplies! I will say that I haven't been doing the grosgrain ribbon part; I used it for my first flower but the directions were not really that clear & I thought the flowers looked fine without it.
Wonderful FH has been cutting out the petals (I created a template for each petal size out of cardstock, that way he can just trace & cut) & I've been assembling them while we watch tv. The flowers are about 4-5in diam; it takes a few tries to get the hang of it & get a feel for how to get your desired look. These are a few of ours!
