diy Signs

Melissa, on June 13, 2019 at 12:05 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5
Who is making DIY wooden signs? I’m trying to find some larger pieces of blank wood to use, but everything seems too small for a welcome sign.

Home Depot and Lowe's both allow you to buy wood and have it cut to whatever size you'd like.

Home Improvement stores like Lowe's or Home Depot have sanded plywood that they can cut to size for you. You can stain and paint it. Make sure it's sanded or it will have a really rough texture.

Thanks! I’ll have to check them out. The craft stores around me just have small ones or like the pallet type kind that wouldn’t work.

Home Depot! FH and I will go there and buy the blank wood cut to the size we need for our two major signs. I am going to then stain it the color I want. I have read that cricut vinyls stick better to prepped wood anyhow, rather than bare!

Good to know! That’s definitely what we will be doing.
