diy Save the Dates and Invitation

Maryanne, on August 6, 2019 at 10:25 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

I purchased a template that I LOVE from Etsy for our Save the Dates and Invitations. We are now in need of a printing service to have them printed on card stock with a matte finish. Has anyone done this before? What are your recommendations?

Thank you!

You could also try photo paper maybe? I know a lot of people just use regular photo places to print their save the dates.

Check out your local FedEx or UPS Stores. Many locations can print your projects same day and provide insight into what would work best for your needs.

I used CatPrint for my STDs! I love that they sent me a hardcopy sample in the mail before sending me the entire order. Also, I ordered the "wedding pack" samples. It's completely free and they will send you sample cards of all the different types of paper they have.

I used vista print. Uploaded my design and printed it out as a 5x7” post card. Made RSVP inserts printed on 4x6” post cards. With the constant sales that vista print has, you could save a ton of money. I was able to get 50 invites and 50 RSVP’s for only $25 total.

I did the exact same thing with a template from Etsy. The shop I went through recommended an online print company called Prints of Love and it was a wonderful experience! They came out perfect! They even plant a tree for every order placed.

I did my save the dates, invitations, and all other signage using etsy templates and had everything printed at Staples. Everything looks perfect and they’re very affordable. I would recommend going into the store rather than sending the print order online just to avoid any potential mistakes. They will also let you know if there are any issues with your file (i.e. blurriness or size issues). Hope this helps!
