Diy rhinestones on veil

Forestwed, on January 28, 2018 at 9:04 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 12
I really like the rhinestone or crystal trim on the veil I want to wear with my dress but i don’t want to spend $200-300. I wanted to ask opinions if it’s difficult to glue them on and if there’s any tips anyone had. I saw these on amazon, do you think they can be glued on the edging of the veil? Should I use a hot glue gun or fabric glue? I saw videos online that said different things so I wanted to ask if anyone has done it? Thanks.

Thanks! Do you think that would work with these strips?

Yes but you may want to pick up some clear thread just to reinforce ... since a trim is going to weigh more

I second the clear thread as well for a solid attachment. I think the hot glue gun glue could come out "stringy."

Fabric glue. Make sure you put a plastic table cloth or saran wrap underneath it so when it dries your rhinestones won't be stuck to the table or paper

I think the strips you posted would work great for the example pic you posted. Hot glue, fabric glue, or industrial glue like E600 would work, but sometimes you can see the glue and if it gets on the rhinestones they don't sparkle as much. If you know how or are willing to learn, my best suggestion is hand sewing the strips onto the veil tulle. It will be super secure and virtually invisible with white string. Best of luck! cant wait to see how it comes out!
