Hey DIYers!

I have been comparing local florists and having a really hard time justifying spending $1600 plus on flowers that will just die and we will not be able to enjoy after the wedding (mini mooning right after wedding).

I know I don't want the hassle and stress of making the bouquets or boutonnieres but I feel like the centerpieces wouldn't be too hard to do! I actually think it would be really fun to get a bunch of family and friends over, drink mimosas and arrange flowers. I'll pay a florist to make the other things and just do the centerpieces myself.

I have a really clear simple vision of how I want the centerpieces to look. A simple glass vase with greens, sunflowers and baby's breath. The only thing that's worrying me is having to put them together the day before our wedding.

People who are already married/further into planning than I am, how busy were you the day before your wedding? Is this doable or am I going to be super stressed if I do this?

I honestly don't feel like I'm going to be that busy. What really has to be done? I'm planning to get nails done on Thursday with gel polish it will hold up well so that will clear up some time.

The thing with doing it on ur own is how ur going to store the flowers and how ur going to get them to the venue. You should keep ur flowers cool and in water and transport them to the venue and set them on the table. That's is why most ppl gonwith florist doing it. I plan to use very little flowers and I have the venue with a fridge the day before. We are going to assemble the center pieces store them in the fridge. We are hiring servers and they will help with set up so I'm going to have pictures of what I want and have them set it up. They will only have to put out the flower vases.
